Tungasuvvingat Inuit has selected Athena Software’s secure and user-friendly Penelope client management platform to track the services they provide to the growing Inuit population in Ontario.
Athena Software is pleased to announce that Tungasuvvingat Inuit has selected Penelope, the company’s cloud-based case management software for human services, as the platform of choice for the Ottawa-based not-for-profit’s growing suite of Inuit-specific services.
Founded in 1987, Tungasuvvingat Inuit has grown to over 100 staff members and provides more than 20 front-line services, including social support, cultural activities, counselling, and crisis intervention for Inuit families across Canada’s capital region and Ontario.
“We are delighted to welcome Tungasuvvingat Inuit to the Athena Software family,” said Amanda McInnis, Athena Software’s Vice-President of Customer Experience. “We are inspired by their dedication to enriching the lives of Inuit in Ontario, and are happy that Penelope has been chosen as the scalable client management solution that will help them continue to expand their impact.”
Athena’s commitment to data security and Penelope’s ease of use were attractive factors when sourcing a new client management system, said Joël Lamoureux, Communications Manager at Tungasuvvingat Inuit.
“As a service and program provider dealing with highly-sensitive case files and multiple families, it is important for our organization to have software and client management systems that are efficient and safe,” he said. “Penelope provided solutions for more easily navigating case management files, storage, and having a valuable software support system for staff.”
The Mamisarvik Healing Centre program at Tungasuvvingat Inuit was able to go live with Penelope within five months of purchase, and their staff has been impressed by the ability to track the client journey and share information across programs securely, the ability for custom configuration, and the excellent support provided by Athena Software’s team.
“Our teams are reporting that Penelope and Athena are completely changing the way they work with data management and case files,” said Lamoureux. “TI is expanding and enhancing the way we work, and it made perfect sense to initiate and integrate technology that brings our entire organization up to date. The learning is heavy at the front end, but we are already seeing the significant dividends, both short-term and long-term.”
