A statement from Athena Software regarding COVID-19

As you are well aware, COVID-19 is a fast-moving pandemic posing serious challenges to how we all live, work, support one another, and experience community. Athena knows the essential role that our partner organizations play in providing support and assistance to individuals, families, and communities in need, and we want you to be assured that we stand ready to help your organization fulfill your mission even and especially in these uncertain and troubling times. Following the recommendations of national and international health organizations, Athena will be closing our physical offices effective March 17, 2020 until April 6, 2020. We want you to know that we are fully prepared to ensure ongoing business continuity for your organization’s data and secure SaaS services but also that, as a company, we are fully equipped and organized to maintain business operations. Further, we have placed a short-term moratorium on all international business travel and have also introduced a fully optional in-country travel policy for our staff. As almost all of our work with our customers is already managed remotely, we don’t expect these travel restrictions to be overly disruptive given current global travel conditions. We will continue to monitor this fast-moving situation daily and continue to protect the health of our team while ensuring business continuity in serving all of our valued customers. We do not expect any disruption to Athena’s server management, provision of Technical Support, Professional or Tailored Services, Penelope’s release cycle, SLAs, uptime, or our ability to work with and support our partners or customers. Also, you can rest assured that we will continue to provide 24/7 monitoring and support. We at Athena have a single purpose – to fuel the social impact that is at the heart of your mission. We know and appreciate how important it is for your organization to be able to carry out your own mission, particularly when faced with a fluid, widespread, and uncertain set of challenging circumstances. In addition, based on feedback already provided by some of our partner customers, over the coming days we’ll be communicating some recommendations and success stories on how your organization can leverage Penelope’s direct engagement and staff collaboration capabilities during this pandemic to provide remote and telehealth services to your clients, and collaborate effectively on case management and client care as a distributed workforce.
