and Timely Billing / Accounts Receivables
Challenge:
We need to be able to track all of our receivables without having to have
two systems - one for accounting and one for case management/ client service.

Penelope features an integrated and robust accounts receivable functionality
that lets your organization effectively track all your invoices - including
CMS-1500s), credits, adjustments, receipts, write-offs, and debits for
any number of payor situations (including medicaid, private insurers,
self-pay and co-pay clients and sliding scale rates).

We have extremely complex and demanding reporting requirements - our ability
to receive funding relies on our ability to generate key reports in a

Penelope features over 100 user-configurable and industry standard
reports covering everything from service utilization to accounts to

Our reporting requirements are so diverse and particular, that we need
to be able to create our own reports as needed.
Solution:
With an ODBC driver (free download), you can access your data and export
subsets into any ODBC compliant application (like Access, Excel or Crystal
Reports). We also provide over 50 user-configurable excel pivot tables
to meet your diverse and changing reporting needs - giving you the power
to create your own reports.
Confidentiality
Challenge:
How can you control unauthorized staff access to confidential files while
ensuring that authorized users have convenient and timely access?
Solution:
Penelope has built in security levels that provide access permissions
to confidential clinical service data - including notes - to only those
authorized. Even a single case file in which multiple workers are providing
different services can be partitioned so involved workers can only access
on a “need to know” basis.
Security
Challenge:
We need to ensure that our system - especially if it is accessible across
the web - is secure and that our confidential information is protected.
Solution:
Penelope uses extremely high grade SSL encryption in order
to ensure that all data being transmitted to / from the server is encrypted
in transit. In addition, no trace is left on the workstation of any
confidential information after using Penelope.
Technology
Integration
Challenge:
We need something powerful and robust enough to serve our needs, but also
something that can “ramp-up” easily without major IT investments.
Solution:
Penelope’s thin client approach means you don’t need an
IT department or need to provide much of an investment to implement
the system and get up and running quickly. You don’t need to worry
about installing the server software, maintaining the system or setting
up workstations with specialized software or dealing with software/
hardware conflicts. With our ASP option. if you have a web browser and
an internet connection, you will be good to go - simple as that! Our
